✨3/9: What to 3D Print in March
A quick look back at what I worked on, what I learned, and what’s coming next.
Published: March 6, 2026Last updated: March 9, 2026In the Monthly Recap: January 2026 post, my plans for February were to release more themed ducks for upcoming holidays, strengthening new habits and processes, and resting (and slowing down to get more clarity for the upcoming months).
Read on to see how February panned out and what's coming in March!
Biggest wins: I released two ducks and re-released two other models for Valentine's Day. I also released a set of models that have been, let's say "playtested" for a year.
🏆As for a literal win, I ended up in first place after several rounds of classic games with friends that included Chinese Checkers and Connect 4. Winning this means it's my turn to plan the series of games we'll play at our next reunion -- should I design and 3D print for it?!
Something I’m proud of: I made an effort to being less attached to my phone -- taking a break from scrolling and checking everything all the time was refreshing! I was able to reduce my screen time and enjoyed time with friends. I even forgot to bring my phone when we went out to dinner -- if that's not a sign that I unplugged, I don't know what is!
A small but meaningful moment: You may have noticed certain businesses shutting down for 2 weeks to celebrate Chinese New Year. Back when I worked 9-5, I wouldn't spend PTO to take this time off, but I had wished to start off the (Lunar) new year with a refreshing break and follow the "no working" rule. This year I was able to take a break from working (but part of it was resting to fight a sinus infection). I'm looking forward to building in this break next year for a more intentional celebration of the new year.
I first released these 2 years ago on Thangs. I thought they should get more love, so I re-released them to make them available on more platforms.
You can find links to the chocolate and candy cup models on the Valentine's Day page.
I started a new series called "Why I Love 3D Printing" to highlight reasons I love this technology and the possibilities it provides 💗
These are published on my YouTube channel (and may also be found on my Instagram, TikTok and other social media).
I started a new series to showcase models to 3D print for each month (along with links to pages where you can find the 3D models) so you don't have to dig through my catalog (or 3D model repo pages) to find timely designs to make.
To start out, I'm posting these articles under the blog section, but there's a chance I'll start making videos to go along with them to show prints in action.
Celebrating Pi Day and St. Patrick's Day; designing new models; sharing models (old and new) in the What to 3D Print in March article
Resuming my craft room organization attempts (and perhaps to other areas of the house!)
Starting to get ready for RMRRF 2026! Should I stick with my last MakerChip design or make a new one? 🤔
Thank you for supporting my work — whether you made a purchase, left a comment, or just followed along. It really means a lot!
