✨Featured model: Betty the Bear
Looking for something fun to print with your translucent filament?
Gummy bears are great, especially printed in TPU for that squishy, gummy feel!
Betty gets her name from being a little better than my first attempt at 3D modeling a 3D printable gummy bear -- so kind of a beta release, you could say. (The original one is now referred to as "Alfie".)
Her head is more narrow and her facial expression is more neutral, but best of all, she doesn't have overhangs!
The sequel to the 2-part 3D printable squeaker design is "The Squeakquel!", which is a single part (no assembly!) 3D printable squeaker.
This is the first print profile I've set up to be compatible with "The Squeakquel!"
This was the first gummy bear model that I sculpted. It took many iterations of sculpting and tweaking it in Nomad Sculpt and slicing it in Bambu Slicer to reduce the overhangs while maintaining the style I wanted for this gummy bear, but there are minimal overhangs underneath the arms (later addressed in "Betty").
As the alpha release, "Alfie" the bear was printed and liked by many 3D printing enthusiasts. From October 2024 to August 2025, it has been printed over 300 times on MakerWorld with an average of 4.9/5 rating with 53 reviews.
Make a gummy bear squeaky toy by using one of my print profiles or setting it up according to the instructions provided on SpoolDesigns' squeaker models.
